I met an angel so graceful
Wearing brilliant white
Calling me to her arms
With a smile sheerly bright
She is always right beside me
Through every step of the way
Takes me under her wings
She keeps all the evils at bay
She brought me into this world
Watching over me since then
She spreads light when it’s dark
With her radiance, Amen!
She taught me right from wrong
Often gives me a good scolding
Whenever I go off the track
She walks me my hands holding
All the tests that my life takes
Always leave her on tenterhooks
While I’m goofing around
More anxious than me she looks
If she could take my troubles away
She would in a heartbeat,
There’s nothing she won’t do
To put me back on my feet
Whenever I need her near me
She would always come
People call her by many names
But I call her MUM
